MUST HAVE INTERIOR DESIGN INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE. A&D Trade Showroom and retailer of kitchen and bath plumbing, hardware and lighting fixtures seeks an Outside Sales Rep to manage selling to high-end interior designers. The ideal candidate will be able to conduct sales with sophistication and style that compliments the showroom’s offerings, and in a manner that clients have come to appreciate and expect.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Service and expand new client base
  • Develop and maintain existing client relationships
  • Call on designers and architects in their studios, and builders in the field
  • Work with clients while they make selections inside the showroom
  • Attend events relating to interior design and architecture industry

Job Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required:
  • Possess direct, existing relationships with business professionals in the architectural/design and building community of the greater Dallas metro area and be able to provide a list of these clients (will be needed prior to receiving an offer of employment)
  • Have a proven record of building sales from scratch and the ability to achieve and surpass sales quotas
  • Be able to prove past selling successes and provide past commission or sales recaps from current or former employer
  • Know how to structure proposals based on client’s needs and budget
  • Have command of consultative and needs-based selling techniques
  • Be able to understand and meet a discerning client’s needs in terms of both design and construction
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic
  • Be willing to learn the products
  • Enjoy selling
